A portion of Sharae Faisal of Karachi has been closed due to construction

Prepare to get into traffic on the Sharae Faisal of Karachi as one section of the road was closed for construction early Thursday morning.

The patch that is closed (from the Avari Hotel traffic light to Mehran Hotel) is not that long yet, but the next turn on the road is quite far. The traffic police did not issue an alternative traffic plan, which further confused people.

The road was closed at 2am on Thursday and will remain so for 48 hours. According to Traffic SSP Assad Malhi, the track was closed because the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board is repairing its pipelines. The board says it will complete the repairs within 48 hours.

It is also alleged that the pipelines were 65 years old, but this could not be independently confirmed.

According to traffic police, this section was closed to traffic as potholes formed in Raja Ghazanfar Ali Road. The KWSB should begin the emergency repairs if a 48-inch pipeline is sunk.

Alternative routes you can use to get to Sharae Faisal are via Clifton's Kalapul, Sultanabad, Avari to Fatima Jinnah Road, Cantt check post, Daudpota Road, Mehran Underpass, Bismillah Signal, Lucky , CSD and FTC Flyover. People traveling from Clifton to the airport can turn in the direction of Fawara Chowk and Abdullah Haroon Road to connect with Sharae Faisal.
